Frequently asked questions

What is FireAI?
FireAI is a no-code AI-powered Causal Decision Intelligence System built for operations-heavy businesses. It connects to the systems you already run, like Tally, your ERP, POS or Shopify and more 700+ connectors, answers questions in plain language, and uses causal chain analysis to show why a number moved, not just what changed. More than 200 organisations use it, including IRCTC, Raymond, Noise and GeM.
How does Ask FireAI work?
Ask a question the way you would ask a colleague, by typing or by voice, in English, Hindi or any of 90 supported languages. FireAI reads your connected data, runs the analysis, and replies with a chart and the underlying numbers it used. There is no SQL to write and no need to wait on the data team.
What data sources can FireAI connect to?
FireAI connects to 700+ data sources. That covers Tally, SAP, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Shopify, Amazon, Google Analytics, Meta, Slack, Excel and Google Sheets, plus databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Snowflake and BigQuery. It also handles messy field data such as multi-tab Excel, retroactive entries and missing GPS pings, with GST reports and INR formatting built in. See the full list on our integrations page.
Does FireAI work with Tally?
Yes. Tally is a native connector, so FireAI reads straight from your Tally data. You can ask questions in plain Hindi, English, or any other language and build live dashboards on it within a day or two, instead of exporting to Excel and pivoting by hand. There is a step-by-step Tally guide in the Help Centre.
Can FireAI build dashboards for me?
Yes. FireAI turns your questions into AI-generated dashboards with 20+ chart types, from bar and line to funnel, Sankey and heatmap. They sync in real time with your connected sources, carry role-based access through from those systems, and work on mobile, so the numbers stay current instead of going stale like a one-off export.
What is causal chain analysis?
Causal chain analysis is FireAI's root-cause feature. When a metric moves, it traces why across linked KPIs and departments, with statistical validation of the correlations, so you can see which region, product or segment actually drove the change. No other Indian BI tool, including Power BI, Tableau and Zoho Analytics, ships this as a named feature.
What is decision intelligence?

Decision intelligence is the discipline of using AI and data to improve the quality and speed of business decisions. Not just to report on what happened, but to understand why it happened and what to do next.

Traditional business intelligence tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker are descriptive. They show you charts and dashboards of past performance. Decision intelligence goes further. It adds causal analysis to explain the why, predictive modelling to anticipate what comes next, and actionable recommendations to guide what to do about it.

Think of it as the difference between a thermometer and a doctor. A thermometer tells you your temperature. A doctor tells you what is causing the fever and what treatment to take. Business intelligence is the thermometer. Decision intelligence is the doctor.

FireAI is India's first Causal Decision Intelligence platform built specifically for business leaders who need answers, not just reports. It connects to 700+ data sources, analyses cause-and-effect relationships across your KPIs, and delivers plain-language decisions to CFOs, founders, and operations heads without requiring a data team.

What is the difference between causal AI and generative AI?

Generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude, are designed to produce content. It summarises, writes, translates, and answers general questions based on patterns learned from large datasets. It cannot connect to your live business data, does not understand your specific operational context, and cannot tell you why your numbers moved.

Causal AI is fundamentally different. It is designed to understand cause-and-effect relationships within a specific system. In FireAI's case, your business. It connects to your actual data sources, builds a model of how your KPIs relate to each other, and identifies which upstream factor caused a downstream metric to change.

Simply, generative AI answers questions about the world. Causal AI answers questions about your business specifically. When your revenue dropped 11% last Tuesday, generative AI can explain what revenue drops generally are. Causal AI tells you it was driven by a margin compression in your North region distributor caused by a procurement timing shift, with statistical validation.

FireAI is built on causal AI. It is not a chatbot that talks about your data. It is a decision intelligence platform that reasons about it.

How to find root cause of revenue drop?

When revenue drops unexpectedly, most businesses spend days pulling reports from different systems. ERP, CRM, sales data, ad spend - trying to piece together what happened. By the time the answer arrives, the window to act has usually closed.

The fastest way to find the root cause of a revenue drop is to use a causal chain analysis tool like FireAI, which connects all your data sources and automatically traces which upstream factor - a specific product, region, channel, distributor, or cost driver - caused the metric to move. Instead of building pivot tables manually, the system maps the cause-and-effect relationships across your KPIs and surfaces the reason in minutes.

FireAI's Causal Chain feature does exactly this. It detects anomalies, traces the root cause across linked KPIs, and delivers a plain-language explanation, without requiring a data analyst or SQL knowledge. Businesses using FireAI have reduced revenue anomaly investigation time from 3 days to under 10 minutes.

How to know the reason of drop in sales?

A drop in sales is always caused by something specific. A channel underperforming, a product losing velocity, a distributor drifting, a cost increase affecting demand, or an external market shift. The challenge is that most businesses store their sales data across multiple disconnected systems - Shopify, Tally, their CRM, their ad platforms, making it slow and expensive to diagnose the actual cause.

To find the reason for a drop in sales quickly, you need a tool that connects all those systems in one place and automatically maps which variable changed before the sales number changed. This is root cause analysis applied to sales performance.

With FireAI, you connect your sales data sources and ask in plain language, "Why did sales drop this week?" FireAI's Causal Chain traces the answer across your data, identifying whether the drop came from a specific SKU, region, channel, or time window, and surfaces the upstream cause, not just the symptom. With FireAI, most businesses get this answer in minutes rather than days.

How to analyse business data without a data team?
You need a no-code analytics tool that connects directly to the systems where your data already lives and answers questions in plain language. FireAI does this: it connects to 700+ sources like Tally, Shopify and your ERP, lets you ask questions in English, Hindi or 90+ other languages, and builds live dashboards automatically. It is built for founders, CFOs and operations heads, who get answers in minutes without hiring an analyst.
Why is FireAI the best BI tool without SQL knowledge?
Most BI tools claim to be self-serve but still need SQL or a specialist the moment a question gets specific. FireAI removes that ceiling: you ask in plain language, by typing or voice, and it runs the analysis for you, showing the chart and the underlying numbers it used. It also goes further than dashboards - causal chain analysis explains why a number moved, and Smart Alerts flag problems before you even ask. No SQL, no query builder, no data team.
How to detect business anomalies automatically?
Use a tool that watches your metrics continuously and flags deviations without you defining every rule by hand. FireAI applies machine learning to your connected data to spot unusual movements in sales, revenue, churn or costs, typically within 60 seconds. Smart Alerts then notify you by push notification, email or partner channel, and Causal Chain traces what caused the anomaly, so you get the problem and the reason in one alert instead of finding out at month-end.
How does FireAI explain business metrics?
When a metric moves, FireAI runs causal chain analysis across your linked KPIs to trace which upstream factor drove the change, a specific region, product, channel or cost driver, and validates the correlation statistically. It then delivers the explanation in plain language with the supporting chart and the numbers behind it. Ask "Why did margin fall last month?" and you get the cause, not another dashboard to interpret.
Can FireAI forecast trends and flag risks?
Yes. FireAI applies machine learning to your data for scoring, anomaly detection and forecasting, so it shows where demand, revenue or churn is heading and flags risks and opportunities early. These signals reach your team in real time rather than at month-end.
Can I set up alerts and schedule reports?
Yes. Smart Alerts watch your metrics and notify you the moment something needs attention, like a dip in sales or a spike in churn, with thresholds you can tune per territory. You can also schedule reports to arrive by email, push notification or partner channel on a daily, weekly or monthly cadence.
How long does FireAI take to set up?
If your data already lives in Tally, an SFA or a POS, your first useful dashboard is typically live within days, often in a day or two for Tally, with fully tuned models following in about 4 to 6 weeks. Traditional BI tools like Power BI and Tableau usually take 6 to 16 weeks because they need a clean data warehouse first. FireAI needs no migration and no warehouse build.
How is FireAI different from Power BI or Tableau?
Power BI, Tableau and Looker assume a clean data warehouse, take 6 to 16 weeks to a first dashboard, and need a BI specialist to maintain. FireAI sits on top of the operational systems you already run, goes live in days, not weeks, and lets anyone ask in plain language. It also adds causal chain analysis and India-native plumbing, Tally, GST and INR, that classic BI tools lack. FireAI does not replace your existing BI setup, it adds the layer those tools are missing - natural language queries, root-cause analysis, and real-time alerts. Most teams run both.
Is my data secure, and is FireAI GDPR compliant?
Yes. FireAI has been independently assessed as GDPR compliant by Aegisra Assurance LLP (examination dated May 2026) and operates as a data processor on your behalf. Your data is encrypted at rest, protected with TLS in transit, and guarded by a Web Application Firewall, regular VAPT and audit logging. FireAI can run in process-in-place mode without storing your data, with region-locked deployment on request. Business plans add SOC 2 and HIPAA-ready controls with field-level encryption, and Enterprise covers SOX, GDPR and FINRA with on-prem or dedicated VPC.
Can I export or share my analysis?
Yes. On paid plans you can export charts and dashboards to PDF and PNG, and pull the underlying data into Excel. Dashboards can be shared with your team, with role-based access carried through from your source systems so each person sees only what they should.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes. FireAI has a native iOS and Android app, marketed as the world's first mobile decision intelligence app for CXOs. It gives CEOs, COOs, CFOs and CIOs voice queries, interactive dashboards and push alerts on the go. Search for FireAI on the App Store or Google Play.
Is FireAI free to use?
Yes. The Free plan costs ₹0 forever and includes 1 user, 50 AI queries a month, 1 GB storage, 3 dashboards and 7-day data retention, with community support. No credit card is required, and you can upgrade to a paid plan anytime as your needs grow.
How much does FireAI cost?
Beyond the Free plan, FireAI has four tiers billed in INR: Professional from ₹2,799/user/month, Team (the most popular) from ₹20,199/month for 5 users, Business from ₹45,799/month for 8 users, and a custom-priced Enterprise plan. Those are annual-billing rates, and monthly billing is also available. Prices exclude GST.
Do you offer annual billing and discounts?
