Container Widget Style

When you group several KPIs or charts inside one container card, use Configure Widget on that container to control the outer look and how nested widgets sit together.

Open Configure Widget

1. Open the dashboard and click Edit.
2. On the container card, open the edit / pencil control.
3. The Configure Widget panel opens on the right.

Container background and padding

These controls sit at the top of the panel and style the outer container shell:

• Background Color, Gradient, Gradient Orientation, and Saturation style the container (including the title area).
• Container Padding sets inset space around the nested widgets (0–4).

Internal widget settings

At the bottom of the panel, Internal widget settings apply to every widget nested inside this container:

Horizontal spacing

Horizontal Spacing controls the gap between nested widgets on the X axis (default 2).

• Increase the value to open gaps between tiles.
• Set it to 0 to collapse horizontal gaps so widgets sit flush side by side.

Vertical spacing

Vertical Spacing controls the gap between nested widget rows on the Y axis (default 2).

• Increase the value to open gaps between rows.
• Set it to 0 to collapse vertical gaps so rows sit flush.

Content alignment

Content alignment controls where nested widget content sits inside each tile (top / center / bottom × left / center / right), or Fill to stretch content like before.

Internal padding

Internal Padding sets padding inside each nested widget tile per side — top, right, bottom, and left (pixels, default 0 on each). Use it when widget content sits too close to specific tile edges after you add a widget background. Older containers that used a single padding value still apply that value to all four sides.

Widget background color (contrast)

Use Widget Background Color when nested KPIs blend into the container and you want each tile to stand out.

• Choose none to leave nested widgets transparent (container wash shows through).
• Choose white or a palette color to apply the same solid fill to every nested widget in that container.

This does not change each KPI’s own card definition — it only styles how they render inside this container.

Edit mode Filters control

In edit mode, filter configure buttons overlay the tile so they do not consume layout height (keeps KPI height WYSIWYG with view mode):

• Container Filters sit top-left so they do not collide with the container edit toolbar (add / remove / pencil / drag) on the top-right.
• Nested widget Filters sit top-right, just left of the ⋮ / delete controls, at low opacity until hovered.
