Linked widgets let you drill from a parent chart, KPI, pivot, or table into a child widget filtered by the value you clicked.

Open a linked widget

  1. Configure linked widgets on the parent card (column → child widget → filter variable).
  2. On the dashboard, click a drillable value.
  3. The child widget loads inline with a breadcrumb back to the parent.

Table rows can also expand a linked widget under the row instead of replacing the whole widget.

Open output in a new tab

After a linked widget has loaded, use the open in new tab icon on the drill breadcrumb (same row as the path).

This opens a snapshot of the drill output already on screen (table rows, or a high-resolution chart image) in a new browser tab. It does not re-run the linked-widget query and does not reload the dashboard you drilled from.

While drilled, insights and the ⋮ menu sit in a strip above the breadcrumb. Edit / Download / Full Screen stay in that ⋮ menu (Edit targets the current drill widget).

You can also open any dashboard widget via ⋮ → Full Screen — that opens the live widget in a new tab.
