Step 0 · Prepare your data
Get ready
Prepare for your FireAI setup in ten minutes. List the KPIs you track with a figure you already trust, your team's business words, and who should see which data.

Ten minutes of preparation here saves hours later. You will fill in three short lists that later steps use.
Things you need
- Your FireAI sign-in (email and password, or your Google or Microsoft work account)
- A computer with a web browser (Chrome works well)
- For Step 12, your account must be an org owner or org admin. If you are not sure, ask whoever gave you access.
List 1: the numbers you want
Open a blank Excel or Google Sheet and copy this table. Add a row for each number your business tracks. Start with three to five.
Sample table. The rows below are examples. Replace them with your own numbers.
| The number | How it is worked out, in plain words | A figure you already trust | Where that figure came from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Total sales value | Add up the value of every sale | ₹774 crore for 2024 | Accounts team's 2024 report |
| Average bill value | Total sales divided by number of bills | ||
| Number of bills | Count every invoice |
The third column matters most
List 2: your business words
Write down words your team uses that an outsider might not understand, and what each means. For example: bills means invoices; pairs means units sold; ABV means average bill value.
List 3: who should see what
Only needed if different people should see different data (Step 12). Write one row per person.
Sample table. The rows below are examples. Replace them with your own people.
| Person | Their FireAI email | What they should see | Their code in your data |
|---|---|---|---|
| Priya, store manager | priya@acme.com | Only her shop | Shop number S-104 |
| Arun, regional manager | arun@acme.com | Every shop in the West region | Region R-WEST |
| CFO | cfo@acme.com | Everything |
